A well-established customs clearance provider in Ipswich is seeking an experienced Import Customs Clearance Co-ordinator.   • Up to date Customs Experience on CDS.

Responsibilities

  • Process Import Customs Clearance.
  • Deal with Container & Ro-Ro Import Clearances.
  • Arrange Container Deliveries and liaise with shipping lines.
  • Communicate with clients via email/phone.

Our client a very well-established Customs Clearance provider covering both import and export shipments at all UK Road Sea and Container Ports.

Our client is now seeking an experienced Import Customs Clearance Co-ordinator to work within their busy and ever-growing import customs department.

Min 3 years Import Customs Clearance Experience Required

Very Modern Clean Offices located in Ipswich IP1 1UQ with good public transport links and parking provided nearby.

Job Description / Tasks
  • Deep Sea Container Imports
  • Understanding of Incoterms
  • Understanding of HS Commodity Codes & Import duty rates
  • International FCL & LCL Container Imports
  • European Imports
  • European Exports (occasionally can train on the job)
  • Invoicing Clients Vat / Duty
  • Invoicing Clients Customs Clearance & Port Charges & Container Deliveries
  • Answering Telephone
Responsibilities
  • Import Customs Clearance Processing
  • Dealing with Container & Ro-Ro Import Clearances for a variety of importers / goods including General Freight Cargo Occasional Foodstuffs Personal Effects shipments & Motor Vehicles
  • Arranging Container Deliveries and liaising with shipping lines / freight forwarders for payment of DTHC & UK Docs costs etc and re‑invoicing to clients
  • using shared email inbox using Microsoft Office / Outlook
  • General communication by email / phone with current clients and new enquiries
  • Good telephone manner
  • Office Based Monday Thursday (Fridays work from home)
Qualifications
  • Up to date Customs Experience on CDS;
  • Ideally a Customs Qualification like BIFA or UK Customs Academy or similar
  • Salary Negotiable according to Experience between 26k - 32k
