Role Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and professional ICT Field Service Engineer to join our growing team at Sureserve. In this role, you’ll deliver hands-on, on-site support for IT systems, based from either Elland, or Brighouse, Yorkshire, with travel supporting clients across a range of site locations. You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This is a dynamic, field-based role suited to someone who thrives on problem-solving, working independently, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and networking equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving computers, servers, networks, and peripherals.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to end users in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct routine updates, data backups, and system security checks.
  • Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and technical resolutions.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce system downtime.
  • Liaise with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, security protocols, and industry best practices.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in an ICT support or field service role.
  • Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs).
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and endpoint protection platforms (EPP).
  • Proficient in managing Active Directory, BitLocker, device drivers, and firmware updates.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • A valid UK driver’s license and the flexibility to travel to client sites.
