I’m recruiting for a Hygiene Service Manager to join a well-established food manufacturing business at a key UK site.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in food manufacturing hygiene who enjoys managing external service providers, driving standards through influence, and playing a central role in audit readiness and food safety compliance.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing and overseeing site hygiene services, with a strong focus on third‑party contractors including hygiene service providers, pest control, laundry, waste management, and hygiene consumables.

You will:

• Act as the main point of contact for external hygiene providers
• Monitor service delivery against KPIs and site standards
• Support hygiene governance, audits, and documentation
• Oversee environmental monitoring and ATP swabbing programmes
• Manage hygiene chemicals, consumables, and associated budgets
• Work cross‑functionally with Technical, QA, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations

About You

• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG
• Strong understanding of hygiene management systems
• Confident managing and challenging external contractors
• Comfortable influencing stakeholders without direct line management
• Organised, data‑driven, and audit‑focused
