Job summary

A leading consultancy in engineering based in Surrey is looking for an experienced Offshore FEA Structural Engineer for a Floating Wind project. Candidates should have 8-10 years in Offshore Structural Engineering, a degree in a relevant engineering field, and expertise in Finite Element Analysis software. The role includes performing structural analyses, ensuring compliance with standards, and contributing to project reports. The position is a contract role with a minimum 3 days in the office, providing flexibility to work from home 2 days.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in Offshore Structural Engineering.
  • Expertise in offshore structures stress analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards fitting the role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis using SESAM and other software.
  • Conduct detailed design calculations according to industry standards.
  • Review and approve structural drawings.
  • Prepare comprehensive design reports and maintain records.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Perform strength and fatigue assessments for floating structures.
  • Propose innovative techniques for structural problem-solving.
