HVAC Project Manager

A well-established and growing HVAC contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver a range of large-scale mechanical and HVAC projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Project Manager to take ownership of high-value projects from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of HVAC projects valued up to £1m. Your role will include:

• Managing projects from initial site surveys and design coordination through to commissioning, handover, and O&M delivery
• Full responsibility for programme, budget, quality, and profitability (P&L)
• Managing PAYE engineers and approved sub-contractors on site
• Overseeing health & safety compliance, toolbox talks, audits, and reporting
• Managing variations, valuations, applications, and commercial controls
• Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using MS Project
• Monitoring risk, managing scope changes, and maintaining a full audit trail
• Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need

• Proven experience managing HVAC / mechanical projects including AHUs, VRV/VRF, ductwork, plumbing, chilled water systems, and chillers
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness (variations, applications, LADs, retention, defects, specifications)
• A minimum of 5 years' experience running projects and managing site teams
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach

Location & Working Pattern

The role will be a mix of office-based and site-based work (approximately 50/50), Surrey-based office, and London-based projects. The successful HVAC Project Manager will be on up to £60,000, depending on experience + package.
