Overview

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Warrington. This largely populated school boasts fantastic sports facilities and offers opportunities both inside and outside of lessons to promote student engagement, helping their young people to flourish both academically and personally. The Head Teacher is looking to take on a driven Humanities Teacher, on a Long-Term basis until the end of the academic year. This will lead to a permanent position for the right Humanities Teacher.

The successful Humanities Teacher will be working across both Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), including exam preparation for GCSEs, and will play a key role in helping students achieve excellent results while following and implementing the schemes of learning.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Humanities to students aged 11–16 (KS3/KS4) with a focus on GCSE preparation where applicable.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s schemes of learning.
  • Support student engagement and academic progression through inclusive teaching practices.
Requirements
  • QTS with Humanities specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Experience teaching Humanities to secondary students.
