Job Description

As a Human Resources Officer, you will provide support to our operations across various locations, working cross-functionally in human resources processes covering all stages of the employee lifecycle.

The Human Resources team is responsible for the lifecycle of our people from application stage to exiting the business and beyond. You will support the delivery of a first-class service to all our stakeholders working together to drive business growth.

Working in the Human Resources team, you will be the primary point of contact for HR related queries at our offices in Manchester, as a member of the UK Shared Services Human Resources team, you will also support the HR needs of the wider business across multiple locations.

Utilising your administrative and communication skills, you will initially focus on strengthening the established relationships with local stakeholders whilst providing support with absence processing, generating offers of employment and processing staff updates.

This is a full-time, on-site position, to allow for the collaborative nature of the role.

Qualifications
  • CIPD level 5 qualification or higher with a working knowledge of employment law and practices is desirable but not essential.
  • Hands on approach with experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team across multiple locations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to tight deadlines.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and practices is desirable.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider department across multiple locations.

  • Ensuring references and verification checks are carried out and recorded according to internal policies and procedures.

  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Providing support to stakeholders in addressing employee-related matters.
  • Escalating to management when critical issues are identified.
