Overview

As a Human Resources Assistant within the Civilian Personnel Flight, this position supports recruitment and placement efforts by performing a variety of recruitment and placement program duties. You will prepare correspondence memorandums, draft responses to supervisors and employees regarding recruitment and placement activities, compose handouts and training materials for New Employee Orientation sessions, and respond to visitors and callers inquiries furnishing information concerning a variety of programs and employment entitlements.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Generate reports to track critical deadlines for civilian employees.
  • Process personnel actions and provide data automation support for civilian personnel functions.
  • Use various software applications to facilitate monitoring critical suspense on behalf of civilian employees.
  • Participate in special recruitment initiatives such as paid advertisements, job fairs, and job information seminars to promote employment opportunities and inform potential candidates of employment procedures.
Qualifications
  • One year's specialized experience in a similar role or four years further education above high school level is required.
  • Handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
  • Travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and to the US or other country as required.
  • Complete a six-month probationary period.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
  • Work Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30 with start and end times modified due to mission needs and flexible working policies.
