Job summary

A well-established company in Lancashire seeks a Human Resources Advisor to join their busy team. This role focuses on providing generalist HR support across all business functions, managing staff development initiatives, and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices. The ideal candidate will have previous HR experience at the advisor level, preferably within manufacturing or engineering sectors. Strong relationship-building and IT skills are essential, along with a CIPD Level 5 qualification.

Human Resources Advisor (Generalist)

We are proud to represent an iconic business, with a rich history in Lancashire, seeking to recruit a Human Resources Advisor into a busy team providing generalist HR support to all functions within the business, ensuring a seamless and efficient service.

The HR Advisor will work on all manner of Human Resources tasks to ensure that legislation and best practice is adhered to, and that the department delivers several key HR projects around staff development and engagement.

Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will entail supporting on a variety of tasks concerning all aspects of HR, including staff training and development, talent management, employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, absence management, site communication and staff engagement.

Skills required
  • Previous Human Resources experience at a similar HR Generalist, HR Officer or HR Advisor level
  • Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent
  • Experience in a manufacturing, warehousing or engineering setting would be useful
  • Broad range of HR skills / knowledge and up to date understanding of best practice and employment law.
  • Previous experience of building good internal customer relationships
  • Good IT skills especially in Microsoft Office and Excel.
