A leading electrical utilities contractor in the Midlands is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across the M1 corridor. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in HSEQ management, strong knowledge of UK legislation, and excellent leadership skills. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £50,000 – £55,000 along with travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven background in HSEQ management within utilities, electrical or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and ISO standards.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage health safety environmental and quality standards across multiple sites.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to site teams and project managers.
• Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments to maintain compliance.
• Develop and implement HSEQ initiatives, policies and continuous improvement programmes.
• Report on performance, investigate incidents and promote a proactive safety culture.
