Overview

Job Title: HSE Advisor (Contract – Day Rate)
Location: Aberdeen (Office-Based with Potential Offshore Visits)
Contract Type: Day Rate Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 month renewable

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HSE Advisor to join our team on a contract basis. This role is primarily office-based in Aberdeen, with occasional offshore visits. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with HSE regulations, supporting operational teams, and fostering a strong safety culture across all activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HSE advice and support to office and offshore teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and company standards.
  • Develop, review, and implement HSE policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting of incidents.
  • Deliver HSE inductions and training sessions as required.
  • Support offshore operations through site visits and compliance monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote proactive safety behaviours.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an HSE role within the oil & gas industry.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent HSE qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of UK offshore safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Offshore certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical) preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Contract Details
  • Day Rate: Competitive (based on experience)
  • Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Aberdeen office with potential offshore travel
