Job description

Reporting to the Head of HR, this is a Senior HR People Partner role responsible for providing end-to-end HR generalist support across a business portfolio of approximately 400 employees in the UK and Ireland.

This role will also play a key part in managing the interface with our HR administration team based in Bratislava ensuring an effective and seamless partnership. This role will also deputise for the Head of HR when required.

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, delivering high-impact HR solutions that support business performance, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness. In addition to core HR business partnering, you will oversee HR risk, governance, and compliance frameworks to ensure the organisation remains fully aligned with UK and Irish employment law and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational HR partnership to business leaders across the UK & Ireland, delivering expert guidance on all people-related matters.
  • Lead the annual year-end compensation review process, working closely with business leaders to ensure equitable, consistent, and performance-aligned outcomes.
  • Manage statutory and internal reporting requirements, including Gender Pay Gap reporting, HR metrics, and people analytics insights to inform business decisions.
  • Partner with the HR administration function in Bratislava to ensure effective delivery of HR operations, data accuracy, and process efficiency.
  • Oversee HR risk management, governance, and compliance to ensure adherence with UK and Irish employment law, FCA/PRA regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, including collective consultation, TUPE, and organisational change programmes.
  • Oversee the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are current, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
  • Support key talent initiatives, including workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Champion culture of inclusion and embed these principles across all HR processes and practices.
  • Act as deputy for the Head of HR, representing the HR function at senior leadership meetings and business forums as required.
  • Contribute to strategic HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the function.
About You

You are a seasoned HR professional who combines strong technical HR expertise with strategic acumen, commercial awareness, and a collaborative style. You thrive in complex, regulated environments and are adept at balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.

Essential Experience & Skills
  • Significant and progressive experience in a senior HR generalist or business partnering role, ideally within insurance, reinsurance or financial services.
  • CIPD qualified (Level 7 or equivalent) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing compensation review processes and leading gender pay gap reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and Irish employment law, HR risk management, and governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in collective consultation, TUPE, and complex employee relations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.
  • Highly organised, diligent, and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative, confident, and adaptable team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The base salary range for this position is between 72,000 GBP and 108,000 GBP (full time equivalent). The specific salary offered considers:

  • The requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
  • The applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
