Overview

Due to continued growth, our highly successful manufacturing client in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, are seeking an experienced HR Officer / HR Advisor to support a new division within the Group, headcount circa 250. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, this is a hands-on, operational role providing crucial support in a fast-paced, multi-site manufacturing environment. You will be the first point of contact for HR queries, offering guidance and support on a wide range of HR matters. The role also involves assisting with wider HR activities across the Group, with a strong focus on employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day HR delivery.

The Role
  • HR Point of Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing advice to both managers and employees.
  • Employee Relations: Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, and performance management cases, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from job adverts and interviews to offers and inductions.
  • Provide HR support during TUPE transfers, restructures, and consultation processes.
  • HR Data & Reporting: Monitor absence and turnover, analyse HR data, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Policy Application: Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in compliance with employment law.
  • Support internal/external audits, ensuring compliance with HR practices and documentation.
  • Employee Records: Maintain accurate employee records, in line with GDPR and audit requirements.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong, trusted relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees across sites.
  • Group-Wide Initiatives: Support on training, employee engagement, and other HR projects across the group.
The Person
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) preferred
  • 2+ years of generalist HR experience, ideally within a fast paced operational/commercial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK & NI employment law.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR systems.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
