Responsibilities
- Assist in development and ownership of the implementation of an HR & culture strategy across business areas, ensuring alignment with Group priorities.
- Oversee advice, guidance and support to line managers on HR policies including performance, disciplinary, sickness, grievance, appraisal, recruitment and change management, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy and best practice.
- Develop and lead recruitment strategies for business areas, ensuring best practice and alignment with company values.
- Ensure external HR best practice is implemented within the Group.
- Apply problem-solving skills to understand issues and deliver credible solutions.
- Utilise workforce information to identify trends in performance, behaviour, turnover, absenteeism and vacancy rates; raise awareness with line managers.
- Identify priorities and key issues, pre-empt problems and resolve them effectively.
- Align HR activities with wider operational priorities (absenteeism, costs, performance, etc.).
- Identify learning and development opportunities and contribute to, design and deliver training to line managers on key People policies (performance, conduct, sickness, grievance, appraisal, recruitment and change management).
- Coach leaders on applying HR policies and best practice, building trusted relationships; mentor and counsel line managers as needed.
- Work with leaders to identify priority training needs from appraisals and supervision and ensure these are addressed in development and succession plans.
- Manage the integration and implementation of TUPE and acquisition activities across business areas.
- Drive employee engagement through change management initiatives and feedback mechanisms including results generation and analysis.
- Lead or support ad-hoc projects such as restructures, redundancy programmes and TUPE transfers.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience in HR policy guidance, employee relations and policy implementation.
- Experience in recruitment strategy development and execution.
- Knowledge of TUPE and change management in a corporate environment.
- Strong data interpretation skills to identify trends in workforce metrics.
- Ability to design and deliver training on People policies to managers.
