Job description
Overview

This pivotal role sits at the heart of our People & Culture function. You’ll oversee first-line HR support, guide employee relations, and work closely with HR Business Partners to deliver both operational excellence and strategic initiatives. You’ll also collaborate with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations to ensure compliance, consistency, and a seamless employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the HR Officers team, ensuring effective triage and resolution of HR queries.
  • Act as the key contact for HR Business Partners, coordinating support and planning capacity across workstreams.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, coaching and supporting early resolution of issues.
  • Support complex HR cases, restructures, and change initiatives.
  • Oversee HR communications, templates, and documentation for consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate across HR functions to improve systems, processes, and employee experience.
  • Monitor and report on key employee metrics and trends.
  • Manage IWM’s Visa programme and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic HR projects and support training delivery in partnership with L&D.
Qualifications
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience leading a generalist HR support team or similar HR function
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practice, with significant experience advising on employee relations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently to a range of audiences
