Our client is looking to appoint an HR Manager to join their team based in Inverness. The purpose of the role is as follows:
To drive business performance through the implementation of an effective HR strategy.
To help strategically position the business to maximise long term profitable growth and sustainability.
Be a strategic influencer and assist in decision-making within the business in matters relating to Human Resources.
Design and deliver a HR strategy that will achieve measurable objectives and operational excellence, supports the business directors and partners, and serves the needs of the business.
Provide talent management strategy and implementation advice to the management team including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and evaluation.
Assist directors, partners and line managers in recognising staff members that have the desire and ability to develop through training.
Identify staff development courses and monitor the staff members' progression through these courses.
Oversee employment law compliance and ensure compliance with regulatory concerns.
Identify and advise on employment related risk management issues.
Develop, guide, and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policy development and deployment, programmes and initiatives, and documentation to reflect the business aims and focus.
Overall management of external recruiting agencies, employment agencies, and temporary staffing agencies.
Liaise with the Head of Marketing to communicate the strategy for key organisational issues and employee engagement.
Oversee complex employee relations issues including redundancy, grievances and industrial action.
Implement HR Information and Management Systems to improve efficiency, aid strategic planning, and enable informed decisions.
Undertake any other duties the business may reasonably require.
Candidates must be educated to degree level.
Candidates must have a CIPD certificate qualification or higher.
Experience in managing HR matters in a diverse environment.
Ability to operate within budgetary guidelines and make sound commercial judgements.
Proven experience in an HR managerial role.
People orientated and results driven.
Demonstrate experience with HR metrics.
Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Competence to build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
