Job description

We are looking for an experienced HR Director with deep regional experience to support our EMEA Enterprise Sales organisation. As a member of the Enterprise Sales leadership team, you will deliver the people strategy, coach senior leaders, and guide organisational and talent decisions critical to the success of the business. In parallel, the role carries a regional, cross‑functional focus, requiring a strong understanding of local market and legislative complexities and employee benefits across EMEA. You will develop and implement consistent, scalable approaches to addressing local people issues, and advise other HR Business Partners and managers globally on employee relations matters. The role will also be responsible for transitioning location‑agnostic, transactional, and repetitive activities to our HR Shared Service Centre, enabling greater focus on strategic partnering. This role is both strategic and hands‑on. You will influence early, bring business and market context into decisions, and focus on outcomes that improve performance, capability, and engagement, staying close to employees, understanding what’s happening day‑to‑day, and supporting managers directly when issues arise. You will proactively address gaps, roll up your sleeves where needed, and help build the HR structures and practices the organisation needs. The role has management responsibility for an EMEA Benefits Advisor.

Responsibilities
  • Advise leaders early on people, talent, and organisational matters to shape strong, well‑informed decisions.
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning, succession, team capability, and leadership effectiveness, ensuring talent and roles are aligned to current and future business needs.
  • Use external insight, including market trends, competitor movement, and AI developments, to inform people and organisation plans.
  • Partner with leaders on organisation design, ensuring teams and structures are set up to meet future requirements.
  • Coach leaders to take ownership of performance, development, engagement, and wellbeing, and support them through complex people situations, including reorganisations and employee relations matters.
  • Provide hands‑on, day‑to‑day HR support by staying close to employees, understanding team sentiment, and responding effectively as issues arise.
  • Identify issues early, such as performance concerns, attrition risks, or capability gaps, using people data to spot risks and opportunities and make clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Review the impact of people decisions and coach leaders to adjust course where needed.
  • Help build and reinforce a culture of trust, connection, accountability, and high performance.
  • Work as part of a global HRBP team, sharing best practices, driving collaboration, and ensuring consistent ways of working across regions.
  • Partner with HR Centres of Excellence and the HR Shared Service Centre to streamline work and shift location‑agnostic, transactional activity out of HRBP roles.
  • Model calm, fair, and practical leadership by listening well, applying sound judgment, and constructively challenging when required.
  • Act as the regional expert on EMEA employment law, employee relations, and cultural nuances, ensuring compliance with local regulations and changes in legislation.
  • Maintain and enhance EMEA‑wide people policies and ensure employee benefits remain competitive and compliant.
Success Criteria
  • Leaders involve you early and rely on your judgment.
  • People priorities are clear, tied to business goals, and deliver results in line with our HR vision.
  • Organisation design decisions create clarity, scale, and readiness for the future.
  • Capability strengthens and key teams see reduced attrition risks.
  • Leaders manage performance, development, and engagement with confidence.
  • The EMEA Benefits & Payroll Advisor develops strongly under your leadership.
  • You are recognised for shaping, not just supporting, the success of the Sales organisation.
Qualifications
  • An experienced HRBP with a background supporting complex, matrixed organisations and experience in HR business partnering, with a strong generalist background and expertise in EMEA labour laws, employee relations, and cultural nuances.
  • Commercially minded and able to link people’s plans directly to business needs.
  • Strong with data and able to use it to provide insights and influence decisions.
  • A clear communicator who builds trust with leaders and teams at all levels.
  • Comfortable challenging leaders constructively and standing by your recommendations.
  • Effective in ambiguity and able to make pragmatic decisions without perfect information.
  • Curious about external trends, including AI and what they mean for future roles and skills.
  • Hands‑on, practical, and willing to build as you go, with patience and persistence.
  • Focused on creating an environment where employees feel supported, valued, and able to do their best work.
