Role Process

The firm is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join its global HR team in Jersey. The role supports the delivery of a people-focused strategy by partnering with leaders to address business-specific needs and provide expert HR services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, coaching managers to resolve matters informally where possible.
  • Drive employee engagement by identifying concerns and advising managers on solutions.
  • Plan resource needs through internal moves, development assignments, and external recruitment; participate in interviews and onboarding.
  • Support professional growth initiatives, including goal setting, performance coaching, and reviews.
  • Assist managers with salary and bonus reviews, ensuring decisions reflect performance and market trends.
  • Collaborate on global HR change initiatives, tailoring programmes to local needs and ensuring effective communication.
  • Contribute to processes for promotions, succession planning, and diversity to build a future-ready organisation.
Requirements
  • CIPD qualified (Graduate or Member status).
  • Proven HR generalist experience, ideally in a legal or partnership environment.
  • Skilled in advising on employee relations (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, recruitment).
  • Experience with HR systems and working within a global HR team.
  • Strong relationship-building and client service focus.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Collaborative approach, professional maturity, confidentiality, and commercial acumen.
