Overview

£34,000 - £38,000 (dependent on experience). Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week. 30 days holidays (plus Bank Holidays) and office closure at Christmas. Flexible, hybrid working following successful period of probation. Free onsite parking when working at One Education offices. Based in Manchester, travel to schools across Greater Manchester. Flexible working patterns can be considered.

Based in Manchester, One Education is one of the largest education support companies in England. We are seeking a suitably qualified, highly motivated and experienced HR Business Partner to join our expanding HR & People Team. We provide high quality, specialist pupil facing and management services to schools and academies, offering advice and practical support on a range of people management matters; staff conduct, attendance, grievance, capability, terms & conditions, contracts, restructures and all HR matters. We also provide bespoke training and guidance on Equality & Diversity, Wellbeing, Mediation, Policy review, Job Evaluation, GDPR, Governance and safeguarding, and advise on emergencies and critical incidents.

  • excellent inter-personal skills
  • the ability to juggle the roles of investigator, advisor, advocate, conciliator and manager

Whilst experience of working in Education is an advantage, it is not essential and full training will be provided to the right candidate. Requirements include Qualified to Level 2 in maths and English and experience in a busy HR environment. A CIPD qualification would be desirable. Travel within Greater Manchester is required, so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are needed.

Responsibilities and responsibilities overview
  • Provide advice and practical support to schools and academies on a range of people management matters (staff conduct, attendance, grievance, capability, terms & conditions, contracts, restructures and other HR issues).
  • Assist and support schools on emergencies and critical incidents.
  • Advise and provide guidance on Equality & Diversity, Wellbeing, Mediation, Policy review, Job Evaluation, GDPR, Governance and safeguarding matters.
  • Work with Headteachers and Principals to resolve challenging management issues; act as investigator, advisor, advocate, conciliator and manager as required.
