Job summary

A national training provider is seeking an experienced HR Apprenticeship Coach to develop and support HR apprentices across their journey. This role focuses on motivating learners, tracking their progress, and ensuring high-quality coaching. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of coaching experience and 2 years in the HR industry. This position allows for remote work with occasional in-person visits, making it a flexible opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the HR sector.

Qualifications

Overview

Aptitude Recruitment are partnering with a well-established national training provider delivering apprenticeships and professional qualifications across digital, business, HR, and professional development pathways. With a strong reputation for quality, high achievement rates, and an award-winning learner experience, they support thousands of learners each year and work with employers across the UK.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced HR Apprenticeship Coach to join their team and support learners throughout their HR apprenticeship journey.

Role Overview

The primary focus of this role is to coach, develop, and support HR apprentices as they progress through their apprenticeship standards. You will work closely with learners and employers to plan on-programme learning, track progress, prepare apprentices for end-point assessment (EPA), and ensure high-quality delivery.

This is a predominantly remote role, with occasional pre-agreed visits to learners or employers as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Learner Coaching & Support
    • Motivate, coach, and guide HR apprentices to reach their full potential
    • Review the apprenticeship standard with the employer and apprentice; plan projects / tasks to meet all required KSBs
    • Agree and set targets, reviewing progress throughout the programme
    • Deliver high-quality 1:1 and remote coaching sessions
    • Embed English, Maths, and wider development themes (Safeguarding, Prevent, H&S, Equality & Diversity)
  • Progress Tracking & Quality
    • Record and monitor learner activity using the e-portfolio system
    • Provide constructive feedback aligned with Ofsted and apprenticeship standards
    • Notify IQA when work is ready for internal quality assurance
    • Prepare apprentices for EPA interviews and practical assessments
    • Complete coaching reports and formal reviews in line with programme requirements
    • Mark and review HR-related project work in a timely manner
Candidate Requirements

Essential :

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Skills Coach, Assessor, or HR-focused coaching role
  • Experience supporting learner or employee development
  • Minimum 2 years HR industry experience with relevant qualifications
  • Relevant teaching or assessing qualification :
  • PGCE / CertEd / QTS / Level 4 Teaching OR
  • Level 3 Teaching + Level 3 Assessor qualification (or willingness to achieve within 6 months)
  • Maths & English at Level 2 or above (GCSE A-C / 9–4 or equivalent)

Desirable :

  • Experience supporting or delivering Functional Skills
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • CIPD membership or professional recognition in HR
