Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and resolve complex ER cases with fairness and consistency.
  • Manage and develop a team of HR Admins and Coordinators.
  • Champion employee engagement and site culture initiatives.
  • Support recruitment and workforce planning.
  • Coach managers on policy and performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and deliver insightful data reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes.

Skills

Strong proven experience within a generalist HR role
Strong ER and payroll experience in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills
Working knowledge of UK employment law
Experience using HR systems and Time & Attendance platforms
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or willing to work towards)

Here at GXO, we're looking for a confident and proactive HR Advisor to join our dynamic team at River Island, in Milton Keynes. You'll be a key player in delivering high-quality HR support across the site, managing a busy ER caseload, and leading a small HR team to deliver excellence in service, compliance, and engagement.

This is a full-time, permanent position. You'll be working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 09:00 till 17:00. However, some flexibility will be required, this is logistics after all!

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).
