HR Advisor – Barnsley – £35,000‑£37,000 DOE – Monday to Friday 07:30‑15:30 (flexible for the right person)

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse HR data (absence, turnover, succession) to identify trends and support improvement initiatives.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policy and UK employment law, with support from external HR consultants.
  • Support employee relations and confidently managing cases.
  • Coordinate training, development and compliance.
  • Manage end‑to‑end HR administration: contracts, inductions, letters, job descriptions and exit interviews.
  • Maintain internal communication channels such as noticeboards and company announcements.
  • Oversee attendance processes and escalate issues when required.
  • Conduct HR compliance audits (right to work, DVLA, GDPR).
  • Act as Breathe HR system administrator and support system improvements.
  • Support recruitment processes including adverts, interview packs and first‑stage interviews.
  • Build strong working relationships across all levels.
  • Maintain CPD through CIPD events and legal updates.
About You
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an HR Advisor.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified.
