Overview

Make a lasting difference in the lives of care experienced young people. We’re looking for a Housing Tenancy Coordinator to join our Care Experienced team supporting Care Leavers as they transition into independent living.

In this rewarding role, you’ll work alongside Personal Advisors to help young people understand their housing options, secure appropriate accommodation, and develop the skills they need to successfully manage their tenancies.

Responsibilities
  • Support young people at risk of homelessness, responding promptly to urgent housing needs.
  • Collaborate with housing providers, landlords, and Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) to identify suitable housing pathways.
  • Lead on sourcing accommodation and support young people with moving in and accessing essential household items.
  • Advocate for Care Leavers to access appropriate and timely housing that meets their individual needs.
  • Provide ongoing tenancy-related support to help young people sustain their accommodation and build independence.
  • Ensure benefits and financial entitlements are in place from age 18 and maintained to prevent tenancy breakdown.
  • Challenge barriers to services, poor practice, discrimination, and social injustice.
Who we are looking for

You’re a proactive, empathetic, and resilient professional who understands the challenges faced by Care Leavers. You’ll have experience working in housing, social care, or youth support, with a strong commitment to promoting independence and wellbeing for young people.

You’re confident in working with partner agencies, understand housing legislation and benefit systems, and have a practical approach to problem-solving and advocacy.
