Overview

Role - Housing Support Worker
Contract - Temp to Perm

Payrate - £14.61ph PAYE OR £19.28ph Umbrella

Location - Ipswich

Client - Nacro

Shift pattern - 40 working hours, 35hrs paid, 5 hours lunch unpaid, occasionally Saturday with Monday off. Late and early shifts patterns. 8-4pm and 2-10pm

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement person-centred support plans for Residents (ex-offenders).
  • Conduct regular meetings with Residents to discuss their support needs and goals.
  • Complete Support and Safety Plans to ensure wellbeing and risk management.
  • Collaborate with Community Probation Practitioners and Court Staff to coordinate support.
  • Assist Residents in:
    • Applying for Housing Benefits
    • Managing rent payments
    • Accessing additional local services
  • Carry out property checks to ensure accommodation is:
    • Clean and well-maintained
    • Free from hazards or safety issues
    • Compliant with housing standards
  • Report and follow up on any required repairs or maintenance issues.
  • Manage a caseload of allocated properties, working within a wider regional team.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle with business insurance to carry out property visits.
