Job description

We are currently partnering with a well-known Charity based in Manchester, who are recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to join their growing team on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a competitive rate of pay of up to £20.00 per hour for the right candidate. A DBS and a car with business insurance is essential for this role.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Supported Unaccompanied Young Asylum Seekers to help settle into their accommodation and live as independently as possible
  • Creating a support plan and updating this when required
  • Offering welfare and benefit advice, so clients can obtain some income
  • Liaising with GPs, Schools and job centres to help with independent living
  • Ensure that clients have suitable accommodation to stay in and check on welfare of clients
Experience required:
  • Experience within supported housing
  • Experience working with multi-agencies
Working hours:
  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
