Job summary

A leading housing support organization in the UK is looking for a Housing Support Officer to provide essential management and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The role involves ensuring accommodations are safe and well-maintained, assisting clients to sustain their tenancy, and facilitating their progression to independent living. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage challenging situations are critical for this position. Competitive pay of £12.21 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Carry out health and safety checks to ensure compliance.
  • Sign up new clients and explain their rights and responsibilities.
  • Act as first point of contact for housing-related matters, including housing benefit advice.
  • Develop and progress individual support/action plans with clients.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and crisis situations per policy.
