A local council is offering a temporary Housing Officer position until December 2027. The role involves managing tenancy and estate management, addressing issues like rent arrears and promoting resident involvement. Ideal candidates will have experience in Housing Management for social housing, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to high-quality customer service. The position includes a mix of home and office working in Coalville with an annual salary between £32,597 and £36,363, plus generous benefits, including pension and training opportunities.
Are you passionate about working with people? We have an exciting, fixed term role within our Housing Management team working with our tenants and their families across North West Leicestershire. We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join our busy team as a generic Housing Officer who will be responsible for a patch of properties within the district, dealing with all aspects of Tenancy and Estate Management. The responsibilities include managing rent arrears, allocations, low level anti-social behaviour and estate issues within the allocated patch. The role includes promoting resident involvement and empowerment which will involve attending some Tenants’ Association meetings in the evenings as and when required. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high quality customer service with a smile on their face and have experience working in Housing Management for a social housing provider. Candidates must be both able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The role will be a mixture of home working and working from the council offices in Coalville.
