Housing Customer & Building Services is seeking to recruit a Housing Manager.

This role is responsible for the provision of a comprehensive local housing service, within a specific geographical area, managing the delivery of high quality tenant focused services within a good performing service.

The Housing Manager leads and manages a team of housing professions, providing a range of services to tenants covering areas such as; tenancy management, estate management, rent accounts, anti-social behaviour etc. Ensuring that tenants, clients and service users are able to access services and are provided with support in relation to their particular housing issues.

Candidates should have

  • Diploma in Housing Studies or equivalent or equivalent relevant recent experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Housing legislation and its practical application.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, tenants, service users, internal/external partners and Elected Members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience in promoting tenant and community involvement;
  • Ability to work on own initiative to deliver agreed outcomes

The successful candidate will have access to West Lothian Council's Pool Car Scheme in order to undertake approved business travel.
