A charitable organization in Dover is seeking a dedicated support worker to aid individuals at risk of homelessness. This role involves direct support for clients in both accommodation and community settings while addressing their unique challenges. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to empowering vulnerable people. Comprehensive training is provided, and the position includes a fixed-term contract until March 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Within this role you will work as part of a team with the aim to support people who are at risk of homelessness. Youll help to provide support to people who could be experiencing a range of issues including mental health substance misuse and domestic abuse.
This role will include working with clients in supported accommodation and those experiencing unstable housing in the community. You will support them over an agreed period to find suitable and sustainable accommodation and provide ongoing support to help them manage their future accommodation / tenancy.
The role requires :
Working across a rota system between the hours of 8am - 10.30pm 8-hour shifts including some weekend working.
This role is fixed term until 31st March 2026 however we are hopeful of an extension.
Please note salaries are pro-rata for part-time positions.
