A prominent health institution in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated individual to coordinate patient facilities services within its wards. Responsibilities include ensuring cleanliness, assisting with meal service, and supporting patients' basic needs. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication skills and attention to detail, with previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. This role is vital to ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all patients.
The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward teams. He/she will be responsible for the co‑ordination of all patient facilities services in the ward areas and ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the ward sister / charge nurse.
The post holder will be required to work closely with contractors and support service departments. He/she will monitor quality standards, report deficiencies and take appropriate action.
The post holder will be responsible for weekly clinical environment audits on Tendable.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all equipment necessary for patient care delivery is available to the nursing staff.
Ensuring their own actions reduce risks to health and safety and to promote a health and safety culture within the workplace.
Respond to emergencies as appropriate.
Maintain effective working relationships.

Provide an effective customer service.
Maintain environmental, food hygiene and personal hygiene standards.
