Job description
Overview

Live in Housekeeper/Nanny role – Kent/Sussex border

A fantastic opportunity to work for a family who are looking for an energetic and flexible full-time, live-in housekeeper-nanny. Located on the Kent/Sussex border, the property comprises a Grade-2 listed, 6-bedroom Georgian manor set in 50 acres including formal gardens, woodland, pasture and a wonderful kitchen garden. This is the family home of the principals and their 3 children: aged 13 and 10-year-old twins. This is a sole charge position when the parents are working.

Housekeeper/Nanny duties:

  • Childcare & Support: School and activity drop-offs/pick-ups, helping children prepare for the day, encouraging homework, providing meals, holiday activities, and occasional babysitting (evenings/overnight by arrangement).

  • Household Management: Day-to-day housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe care, keeping the home tidy and organised, running errands, shopping, and managing supplies.

  • Home Coordination: Receiving deliveries, liaising with contractors, and supervising housekeeping support for the guest cottage.

  • Cooking & Entertaining: Preparing healthy family meals (with scope for menu planning and use of seasonal produce), plus occasional support with hosting.

  • Additional Duties: Acting as point of contact if the house is used for filming.

Candidates should have a commitment to high performance and excellence in service. Whilst a range of previous experience will be considered, the ability to manage a large household, including excellent attention to detail, organisation skills and energy are essential.
