Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen on Ward L5 at Salford Care organisation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient support. L5 is a 24 bedded ward providing care for geriatric patients. The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidate and gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of patients, multi‑disciplinary team and relatives.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake daily organisation, maintaining stock levels, providing meals to the patients and cleanliness of the environment.
  • Stocking up, maintenance of equipment and general housekeeping of the unit.
  • Work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities to consistently facilitate a patient‑focused approach.
  • Provide regular feedback and one‑to‑one support from manager to ensure job satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi‑agencies and multi‑disciplinary departments.
  • Experience of working with the general public.
  • Ability to work independently and in an orderly, systematic manner.
  • Good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
  • Caring attitude and ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
