Overview

We are recruiting an enthusiastic flexible experienced Hospitality and Catering Assistant to join our professional friendly catering team. This role offers great work-life balance, no split-shifts or late nights, and working from our bright airy open plan kitchen (with views of the South Downs). We welcome over 50,000 visitors to our Quarry Café a year to enjoy a light bite, homemade lunch, or just a slice of cake, all freshly prepared onsite in our modern bright kitchen from base, delivering locally sourced and expertly created dishes, and served by a friendly team, including those supported by the trust. This is an extremely rewarding opportunity to be part of a catering team of 10 that makes a real difference, from assisting with preparing dishes, servicing customers, front of house responsibility, as well as supporting hospitality, conferences and events.

  • You will assist the team, including the Hospitality Services Manager, Supervisor with organising, planning and cooking as well as supporting the conference teams to provide and maintain the highest of catering and hospitality service standard.
  • To lead by example, offering excellent levels of service and professionalism at all times, serving and assisting customers in an engaging, polite and warm manner.
  • Support the Hospitality Services Manager to develop and monitor the range of hospitality provisions to meet Trust objectives and customer requirements.
  • Oversee the environment associated with hospitality to ensure it is at an appropriate standard (e.g., seating, patio areas, wash/toilet facilities).

We have exciting plans for future growth at our award winning Aldingbourne Country Centre, offering more corporate hospitality, celebrations, and inhouse events, giving you exposure to use your creative input, alongside the Supervisor and Hospitality Service Manager.

This is a full time 37.5 hours, usual working hours 8.30am to 4.30pm, rota over 7 days, will include weekends, bank holidays and occasional evening events. This role will require an enhanced DBS (Paid for by the Trust).
