Job summary

A leading eye health service provider in Greater London is seeking an experienced Band 3 Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy team in various duties, including dispensing medications, stock control, and patient interactions. The ideal candidate should be registered with GPhC, have relevant experience, and possess a BTEC or NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical services. The role offers flexible working hours and competitive pay within the NHS framework.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months’ work experience post qualification.
  • Working experience in a hospital Pharmacy is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in dispensaries.
  • Receive prescriptions from patients for dispensing.
  • Prepare medications for patients after proper training.
  • Manage stock control within the dispensaries including ordering stock.
  • Maintain clean and tidy dispensing facilities.

Skills

Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
ACPT accreditation (accuracy checking)
Medicines Management/Medicines Optimisation Experience
Recent experience of working in a Pharmacy
Experience of working in a Pharmacy dispensary
Experience of working in a hospital Pharmacy

Education

BTEC or NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical services
