Overview

Hospital and Community Pharmacy Technician – Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary

Band 4/5 depending on experience and qualifications | 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Dispensing and ward-based medicines management duties.
  • Medication reviews in community settings and involvement in clinical trials.
  • Recording patient medication history and processing discharges at ward and community level as part of a clinical technical service team.
  • Participate in full dispensary duties.
Requirements and Development
  • Enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technicians with good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to develop and progress; if not meeting Band 5 criteria on appointment, you will be appointed to Band 4 and expected to achieve the qualifications and experience required to progress to Band 5.
  • There will be a requirement to participate in working extended hours, late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
