Band 4/5 depending on experience and qualifications, 37.5 hours per week.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technicians with good communication and teamwork skills. You will need excellent organisational skills, be able to work accurately and quickly under pressure, have a good eye for detail, prioritise workload, meet deadlines and be committed to high standards in a patient‑focused service.
Assigned to Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary. You will work with the Technical Team, which has a great reputation for ward‑based and community services.
If you lack the qualifications or experience for a Band 5 post, you will be appointed to Band 4 and expected to progress to Band 5. Working extended hours, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays on a rotational basis will be required.
You will gain experience of dispensing, ward‑based medicines management duties, medication reviews in community settings and clinical trials. Once trained, you will work as part of a clinical technical service team, recording patient medication history and processing discharges at the ward and community level. You will also participate in full dispensary duties.
