A local government authority in Burnley is seeking a Homeless Prevention Officer to join their Housing Needs Team. The role involves preventing homelessness by providing essential support to customers facing eviction, negotiating with landlords, and collaborating with various agencies. Temporarily funded for 3 years. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Homeless Prevention Officer to join our busy Housing Needs Team.
The emphasis of the post will be to prevent homelessness wherever possible by providing support for customers at threat of losing their homes in a range of situations, including negotiating with mortgage lenders, social and private landlords, and social and welfare support agencies, whilst taking into account the clients housing and support needs.
