We are recruiting drivers (full-time) to join our dedicated home care team in Sheffield (S12 & S20).

  • S12: Birley, Frechville, Hackenthorpe
  • S20: Halfway, Mosborough, Westfield, Waterthorpe, Owlthorpe, Beighton, Sothall

Drivers: You must have a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Right to work: You must already have the Right to Work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorship.

Pay, Hours & Shift Pattern

We do not pay per call. You are paid Block Pay (shifts) – from your first visit to your last.

  • £12.82 per hour (drivers)
  • 45p per mile mileage
  • Full-time hours (contracted)
  • Block pay: paid continuously across the shift, not per visit

Shift patterns:

  • Early shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Late shift: 4:00pm – 10:00pm

You’ll work a fixed 2-week rota, which will include:

  • Alternate full weekends, or
  • Every Saturday, or
  • Every Sunday
  • Evenings agreed within your working hours

Essential: You must be available for early mornings, evenings and regular weekend working.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support people in their own homes to:

  • Live independently and confidently
  • Stay safe, respected and well-cared for
  • Stay connected with family, friends and their community
  • Achieve personal, meaningful outcomes

Your day may include:

  • Helping with washing, dressing and personal care
  • Supporting with medication, meals and hydration
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting people to get out, attend appointments, or stay connected locally
  • Recording and sharing important information with families and professionals

No Experience? No Problem – Full Training Provided

Whether you are new to care or returning after supporting someone close to you, we’ll give you all the training you need to succeed. Your paid induction includes:

  • 1 week classroom-based training (Mon–Fri)
  • 2 days shadowing experienced colleagues
  • Additional online learning modules

You’ll also receive training in areas such as:

  • Be Caring values & “Above & Beyond” care
  • Dignity, respect, safeguarding, equality & diversity
  • Confidentiality & professional boundaries
  • Fluids, nutrition & safe administration of medication
  • Moving & positioning, basic life support, pressure care
  • Infection prevention & control, health & safety
  • Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health & capacity

We also offer fully funded qualifications, including Level 2 Health & Social Care and other accredited courses.
