Job description
Overview

Home Bridging Team Teacher (2 posts) — Permanent. Teachers pay and conditions. Main scale to UPS3 with SEND Allowance. Working 32.5 hours per week.

We are seeking to appoint outstanding and experienced full-time teachers to join our established Home Bridging Team (HBT) from January 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that supports children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who are currently without a formal education placement.

Responsibilities
  • The HBT provides interim, home-based education to help children continue learning while an appropriate placement is being secured.
  • The team also plays a key role in supporting smooth transitions—working with children, families, and receiving schools to ensure successful placements.
  • HBT works closely with relevant agencies to ensure that children and families are supported by professionals and information shared.
  • Teachers work on a hybrid basis, combining remote work from home, attendance at the office, and home visits to deliver tailored education directly to pupils.
