Job description

An excellent opportunity for a Service Manager to work with a charity who provides support for people with Mental Health, Addiction and Substance Use Conditions to achieve their potential and a higher standard of life. The aim of this service is to address the causes of drug and/or alcohol related offending and risk of harm to individuals through assessment, engagement and diverting individual offenders out of crime and into appropriate levels of interventions, support the reduction of drug and alcohol related misuse and reduce levels of offending. The role will include providing support and guidance to caseworkers along as well as taking a leading role in the delivery and improvement of the service.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and interviews with individuals to gather information about their needs and circumstances.
  • Develop and implement case plans to address clients' needs and goals.
  • Provide counselling and support to clients, including crisis intervention and emotional support.
  • Coordinate services and referrals to other agencies or professionals as needed.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust case plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, psychologists, and healthcare providers, to provide comprehensive care for clients.
Requirements
  • NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care and/or relevant professional qualification.
  • Experience of building productive working relationships with a range of partners.
  • Experience of working in multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.
  • Experience of working towards achieving individual and team objectives.
  • Knowledge of effective individual and group interventions to engage substance users and/or offenders in recovery focused treatment.
  • Knowledge of the Substance Misuse Recovery Agenda effective substance misuse interventions and treatment options including the 12-Step Minnesota Model.
