A special needs school in Colchester is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support students with moderate, severe and complex needs.

Role includes
  • Working 5 days a week within the school provision, supporting students with MLD and SLD in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to improve engagement, interaction and raise attainment.
  • Learning and developing your LSA skills.
  • Working closely with parents to ensure what is carried out at school is continued at home.
  • Maintaining a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, and building strong relationships and rapport with individual children.

This is a full‑time temp to permanent opportunity (8:30am – 3:30pm). Experience supporting children or adults with special needs is required.

Full pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.

In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
