A local educational authority is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join St Michael's CE Academy. The successful candidate will support teachers in creating a nurturing learning environment, assist with learning activities, and work with pupils with special educational needs. Can complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals or groups, or short-term for whole classes, and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development. This role will predominantly be working in a 12-place provision for pupils with SEND; experience working with children with SEND and/or EYFS would be advantageous. Visits to the school are welcome and can be arranged by contacting Yvette Sullivan.
Experience with SEND and/or EYFS is advantageous. The role requires the ability to support learning under supervision, communicate effectively with pupils and staff, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
