Job description

Overview

We are recruiting for a qualified HLTA, you may have a QTS looking for a Teaching Assistant role. This position will commence in September to cover PPA across all year groups within a Primary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Cover PPA for all year groups across the primary school.
• Work four days per week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
• The school operates PPA differently, giving teachers a full day every two weeks instead of half a day per week; you will supervise a full class on a timetable when PPA occurs.
• You will be allocated a day for planning every two weeks and will plan lessons with a focus on one subject (e.g., arithmetic or guided reading/reading comprehension) and deliver it.

Requirements

• HLTA level qualification or an equivalent qualification (you may hold a QTS).
• Experience in a primary setting and ability to manage a class for the day.
