Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a skilled and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the dedicated Resource Base team at a primary school in the B6 area of Birmingham. This full-time role is ideal for someone with proven experience in a resource base or SEND school setting, who is passionate about supporting children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support small groups and individual pupils with a range of SEND, delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
• Assist in planning and delivering lessons under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Lead whole class sessions when required, ensuring continuity and high-quality learning.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to planning and review meetings.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a resource base or SEND school is essential.
• Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and support diverse learning needs.
