Qualifications

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with maintained registration.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• Relevant postgraduate training like BSHI Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, validate, and report results of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics investigations.
• Assist with quality management within the laboratory.
• Coordinate and supervise work and training of staff.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.

Skills

Broad science knowledge with a specialist knowledge of transplantation science

Proficiency in relevant specialised laboratory techniques

Knowledge of quality and accreditation systems

Ability to write reports

Experience with Microsoft Office packages

Education

Science graduate with relevant post graduate training
