Job summary

A local construction firm is seeking a skilled Clerk of Works in Warrington to supervise the construction of public highway projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in highway construction supervision and the ability to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations. The contract is short-term with potential extension, offering 37 hours per week. Candidates should be HND qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive supervisory experience on public highway construction schemes.
• Proven ability to inspect works and maintain detailed records.
• Knowledge of Chapter 8, Street Works permitting, and CDM Regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect highway and civil engineering works to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of construction activities.
• Liaise with contractors and statutory undertakers to resolve issues.
