Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – Knowsley

£95 - 110 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications) • September 2025 Start

Responsibilities

A fantastic opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a secondary school in Knowsley starting in October 2025. This full-time role involves supporting students across KS3 and KS4 by delivering planned learning activities, leading small group interventions, and providing in-class support to help raise attainment and engagement.

As a HLTA, you will work closely with teaching staff and SEN teams, take responsibility for delivering learning to whole classes when required, and play a key role in promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting students within a secondary school setting
  • HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and motivate young people
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and SEN staff
