Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Start date: ASAP
Contract: Full Time (term time)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work predominantly in Year 4. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting learning, confident in leading groups and lessons, and keen to make a real impact on pupil progress.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality learning interventions and whole-class cover where appropriate.
  • Support planning, assessment and pupil progress.
  • Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and high expectations.
  • Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
Ideal Candidate
  • Has proven experience as an HLTA, ideally in Key Stage 2.
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge, particularly in English and Maths.
  • Is confident leading learning independently and adapting lessons to meet pupils' needs.
  • Has high expectations for all pupils and a calm, positive behaviour approach.
  • Is reflective, proactive and keen to develop their practice.
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and parents.
