Overview

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Technicians to join the Mersey Care Medicines Management Team. The Executive team at Mersey Care recognises the value of our services and has invested funding to enable the transformation and expansion of our service. These Dispensary Higher Level Pharmacy Technician roles are based within our purpose-built pharmacy department at Maghull Health Park and support our in-house Pharmacy at Hollins Park Hospital in Warrington. We welcome applications from experienced Pharmacy Technicians from any sector who are interested in developing their professional career within a hospital pharmacy setting.

These posts provide an opportunity to develop skills and experience across a diverse service. A well-structured support system is provided, including robust individual and group supervision, personal development planning and regular access to professional development opportunities and flexible working opportunities. The department is embracing the Trust’s ambition to digitally transform services with ward-based automation, EPMA, and three automated robotic dispensing systems including a blister packing robot.

Responsibilities

• Participate in our seven-day medicines supply service in line with the hours of operation.
• Work within the dispensary department at Maghull Health Park and support the in-house Pharmacy at Hollins Park Hospital in Warrington.
• Support digital transformation initiatives, including ward-based automation, EPMA, and automated dispensing systems (three robotic dispensing systems including a blister packing robot).
• Engage in the department’s supervision, development planning and professional development activities.
