Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Primary School, Harrow

Location: South Harrow, London

Position: HLTA / Experienced Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £115-£125 per day (negotiable)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

A lovely primary school in Harrow is looking for a confident HLTA to join their team. This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who wants to build more classroom experience before taking on their own class, or for someone stepping back from full-time teaching and seeking a less pressurised role while still making an impact.

Role Overview

You will support learning across the school and step in to deliver lessons when needed.

• Providing support across multiple year groups
• Leading lessons and covering classes
• Supporting creative and engaging teaching
• Maintaining a positive and well-managed learning environment
• Adapting quickly to different classes and teaching needs

Candidate Profile

• Holds HLTA status or has strong experience as a Teaching Assistant with the ability to lead classes
• Communicates clearly and manages classrooms well
• Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to pupil progress
• Can work confidently across all primary key stages
